Windows 10: My audio sample rate is 16 bit 48000hz, but there is no other option.

Judging from other posts, I have good reason to think that there is no hope in getting 24 bit, I'm trying to play Forza Horizon 4 but the audio is crackling because it needs 24 bit audio, which appear is impossible to get on this device. Is there any way I could get it?

Most audio files are 16 bit and 44100Hz or 48000Hz.

As I have my audio playback for my 5.1 surround sound set to 24bit 48000Hz (studio), it is not going to produce a 24 bit quality sound from a 16 bit audio source. It will just start becoming distorted in the sound.

That is like taking a music file that is 172kb/s and playing it at 384kb/s settings. You will never get the quality of 384kb/s and the sound will be very distorted.

Or like trying to play a video with 720x480p and think it will play in 1280x720 HD. It is not going to happen.

and 96000Hz, I doubt you will find any audio files at that rate.

48000Hz will be about the max.

That's the correct sampling rate.

Standard Bluetooth has a microphone sampling rate of 8 KHz. Higher priced corporate Bluetooth headsets has the optional Bluetooth mSBC codec which has a 16 KHz sampling rate.

If connected by USB, sampling rate is determined by the Analog to Digital Converter inside your USB headset. Basically all USB mics have 16 bit 48 KHz sampling rate. Just look at the Blue Yeti USB mic, 16 bit 48 KHz.

Spatial Sound Forcing 16-Bit/48000Hz

Hi Everyone,

I'm wanting to know if there is a way to use the DTS:X spatial surround sound with my Creative Sound Blaster G6 sound card at 32-Bit/384000Hz, which is supported. For some reason if I enable any type of spatial sound, including Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos,
it automatically sets my default bit rate and sample depth to 16-Bit and 48000Hz. If I try to switch it to something else it just removes my spatial sound selection. I can't get both enabled at the same time.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
