  2. Volume slider doesn't work/remains at 100% no matter how I try to alter it

Every time I restart my computer, the volume slider breaks and no matter what percent it's on, the volume stays at its highest. Even if I open Sounds and try and change the slider there, the only way to change the volume is on the actual player (VLC/youtube etc).

I figured out I could fix the problem by disabling the Synaptics Audio Driver, restarting, and enabling it again. But then the next time my laptop restarts, it stops working again and it's driving me crazy. I don't want to keep fixing it constantly, I want to keep it from happening. I'm sure it's a driver problem but all my drivers are up to date so I don't know what else to do. Help?

  3. Volume slider not working on Windows 11

Hi, I'm having this problem in which the volume slider nor the hotkeys work on increasing or decreasing the volume. The visual slider works but the volume of the PC remains static. The only way to increase/decrease it is by altering the volume in the application i'm using (YouTube, Spotify, ecc). I've already tried restarting the service, windows explorer (found the same question from another user but trying the suggestions that were givven to him didn't work). Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks!

  4. My audio slider does not take effect to my volume/remains at the same volume no matter what...

Audio plays at 100% no matter what volume it is at.

I have windows 10 on a LENOVO laptop, and no matter what volume it is, between 1% - 100%, it plays maximum volume sound, despite the slider not necessarily being on 100%. If I set it to 0% it plays no sound.

This problem does not always happen. Each time I restart the PC the volume plays normally (i.e. 2% will be 2%), but sometimes, for apparently no reason at all, in the middle of playing audio is suddenly plays maximum volume, even though the slider isn't
necessarily on 100%. This could happen when playing music from YouTube.com on a browser (no matter what browser I use I would still have the same problem), or being in a zoom video meeting, no program in particular seems to be causing this. Bitdefender Total
Security has not reported any problems, neither has CCleaner free, windows defender, and sound settings troubleshoot.

Whether I play the audio on built-in speakers or external speakers/headphones makes no difference.
