Windows 10: My audio started to sound muffled/have bad quality.

I turned on my computer this morning, and when I tried to watch a TV show it came out muffled/bad quality. Thing like Spotify, Youtube, and PC games also sound muffled. Audio/Media files that I had downloaded before sounds clear. This has happened once before and went away after a few hours without any troubleshooting. I've tried to restart and shutdown my laptop, use the audio troubleshooter, uninstalling my audio drivers, and turning off audio enhancement, but nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can try?

Muffled/Bad quality on headphones in Windows 10.

So today, I got a new gaming headset (LVLUP Lu732) and I was excited to use them. I tested them on my Mobile phone, the audio was great, tested it on my Console, the audio was great, but when I tested on my PC, the audio was muffled and bad. The Microphone
was good tho, but I could barely hear the quality until I put it to 100. When I put the volume on 100, it sounded like someone was underwater, This also happened to my previous headphones, the audio was muffled and bad. Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

Realtek HD Audio low and bad quality sound after Windows 10 upgrade

Do the following steps:

1. Go into Sound.
   
2. Properties.
   
3. Advanced and change the sound quality from CD to DVD quality.
   

It worked for me.

 

Sound Quality

One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.
