Windows 10: My audio stutters and becomes crackly, slowly down when I even wriggle my mouse.

This started a week ago. It's a guessing game Wether it'll do this or not, as restarting can make it disappear until next time it boots.To be clear it doesn't affect video, just audio. Its not my speakers, as this happenes through bkth headphones and speakers. Audio is unstable, crackly and stuttery, becoming slow as I do as little as wriggle, change tabs, and if i have a game on, it constantly goes through slowing and always stutters. I don't know what to do – there seems to be no driver updates, and I'm not sure why restarting helps sometimes..

Audio stuttering after wake

1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Expand the “System devices” category.
  
• Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
  
• If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
  

2. Test with External Audio Device:

• Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
  
• If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
  

3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

• Go to Control Panel > Sound.
  
• Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
  
• Click on the “Properties” button.
  
• Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
  
• Uncheck all the enhancement options.
  

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Gigabyte support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or replace the audio device if necessary.

Random audio stuttering and mouse freezing


"High Definition Audio" suggests you only have the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver rather than the correct sound hardware driver. If this is the case, install the correct sound driver as step 1.
