Windows 10: My aunt died and no one has the Password!

Her computer seems to be running on Win 8.xI have found several suggestions using cmd.exe but I can't open the command without choosing her account and write password. So that dosen't work :-The laptop is an old Asus. And we need to be able to read the files - since we can't find any papers regarding her wiches for funeral etc.I need advice on which solutions is the best to try. I have access to other laptops so I can dowload files and create CD s. And Yes, of course I realize this seems a bit supicious. But it is the truth - and also the answer that I can't get in would be helpful.Thank You

• What is the make and complete model information of your aunt's phone?
• What operating system is the phone in question running on?
• Are you referring to the phone's lock screen password or SIM password?

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.
