Windows 10: My background and taskbar keeps crashing and I need to wait for it to load back up with all...

This issue just started 1 day ago and when my PC first boots up I have to wait a couple minutes for my background (a standard background not something like wallpaper engine) to load with all my icons and stuff. I cant do anything or else it goes white and crashes and I have to wait for it load again. Then after that when I'm doing work on my desktop it just crashes and all the icons disappear and it goes to the default background and the taskbar also crashes. Every time I hit refresh when I right click on the background it takes 1 minute for it to refresh and my mouse has the blue circle while it loads. Any idea as to what is causing this?

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Did you get any error messages or error codes?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try to check if the "Show Windows Background" option is turned on. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings in the Start menu.
• Go to Ease of Access, then on the left side, click
  Other options.
• Turn on Show Windows Background and check if it works.

Windows 10 keeps crashing

There are many possible reasons why the computer will keeps on crashing. One of which is missing or corrupted system files. For us to further isolate the issue, we suggest answering the following questions:

• What exactly are you accessing/doing when the computer crashes?
• Were you still able to login to the computer after it happens?
• Can you send us a screenshot of the error messages or mini dump that you've received?

Windows taskbar and shortcut crashing.

issue. Let's isolate your concern, to get you to this resolved. For me to have a better understanding on what you experience, I would like to know the following:

• What is the version and build of your Windows 10?
  • You can do this by pressing the Windows button + R on your keyboard to open the Run box, then type winver and press Enter.
• Do you experience the crash of your shorcuts and taskbar after opening a program or app, or is it soon as you get to the desktop?
• Is the issue happening even after restarting the computer?
• Where there any other changes on your computer that you might be aware, aside from keeping your WIndows updated and your drivers?

In the meantime, I suggest that you perform a clean boot, for us to isolate your issue. This is also to
check if are there any programs that might be running on the background that might be causing the issue. If this is happening on a specific program that's causing the crash on your taskbar and shortcuts, I suggest atht you
perform a repair or uninstall and reinstall of your programs. This way, we'd be able to ensure that your program
is up-to-date as well.
