Windows 10: My battery is not appearing in my task bar or settings.

Hello, I am hoping somebody may be able to help. I went out today and I came home to do some work on my laptop surface go 3. However it wouldn’t turn on, I decided to put it on charge for a bit and shortly after it turned on. It claimed it was doing an update which I do not recall being asked for it to happen. Since it has updated it has been glitchy and now my battery won’t appear in my task bar even when I go to expand it and see more options it doesn’t appear. I then went to click on the settings to see the percentage and nothing about the battery appears there either. I also tried to f

Windows 10 has a feature to personalize your task bar icons. To retrieve the missing battery icon on your taskbar, kindly follow the steps below:

• Right click on the taskbar and select Settings.
• Under Notification Area, click Turn system icons on or off.
• Look for Power and toggle Power to On. Your battery icon should appear in the system tray again.

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
