Windows 10: My Blue Snowball Mic is not working even though it is receiving power— how to fix?

Hello! I use the blue snowball ICE mic. It is brand new and not working.The red light is on, so it is receiving power. It is plugged directly into my computer’s USB ports I tried BOTH my USB ports, light is on but it won’t workWhenever I use or test the microphone, it does not record any sound and 0% of the total volume is returned to me. No matter what format or input level I select I get the same results. No matter what settings I change in the ‘properties’ tab for the mic, it will NOT PICK UP ANY SOUND. This is so upsetting for me because, again, the microphone is brand new. I’m so confus

Blue Snowball Mic Not Found by Windows 11

Thanks for your quick reply and thorough suggestions.

I was successfully able to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and restart my computer, but unfortunately the Blue Snowball mic still does not show up in Device Manager or in any app that uses my mic.

I'm not sure if this is relevant information, but after the Windows 11 update my laptop's fingerprint reader also did not work because of an issue with the driver. I was able to Roll Back the fingerprint senser's drivers and it began to work again. But as I mentioned before, the Roll Back option is greyed-out on the Blue Snowball mic so I was not able to do that (I assume because the Blue Snowball mic doesn't use its own drivers). Anyways, it seems the Windows update may be causing some issues with drivers in Lenovo.

 

Blue Snowball Mic not working

So, yesterday my Blue Snowball mic was working fine until this morning when I plugged it in. The first thing I noticed is that the red light wasn't showing up, then I went to Device Manager and tried finding the device but it just vanished, it didn't show up anywhere in Device Manager or in my computer. Can someone please help?

 

just got a new blue snowball ice mic boost not there low audio

mine looks like its provided by C-media here is a pic. as you can see that is the only slider i got for mine and as far as i can tell it controls just the volume output nothing more, i'm half tempted to try the program i listed above, but have heard of people loosing sound enhancements from realtek from installing it.
