    My Bluetooth headphones randomly disconnect from my laptop


    My Bluetooth headphones Philips tah4205 randomly disconnect from my laptop Asus VivoBook 15 . They disconnect on average every 10 minutes and most times reconnect after a few seconds. The headphones work perfectly fine with both my phone and tablet, also other Bluetooth devices speaker and some cheap earbuds work fine with my laptop. Things I've already tried: 1. Bluetooth troubleshoot both Asus and windows 2. Updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling them 3. In Services setting Bluetooth services on automatic 4. I saw that power management in device manager solves the issue,

    setting up win10 Bluetooth and my Bluetooth headphones work fine ,but every time I reconnect the headphones I have to delete them from Bluetooth settings and let win10 pickup the headphones again ,before they will pair ,then win10 want to reboot to add the headphones ,I reboot and they work fine ,but next time I plug the headphone in again they will not pair ,don't even get an option to pair till I delete the head phones from the list ,, any suggestions ,, thank

  3. Bluetooth wireless headphones disconnected

    I've rummaged around and tried a bunch of things, but the bluetooth headphones aren't working...

    Windows 10, 64-bit, desktop - lots of everything, current version, etc.

    I have a set of basic Bluetooth headphones, paired them normally, connected them, everything shows fine. In the Sound screen I can SEE the headphones but they're disconnected. I haven't found any way to get them "connected".

    To be sure it's JUST this system, I took the same headphones, paired them on the Windows 10 LAPTOP. Connected them and they work PERFECTLY. No problems whatever. No new drivers, no fiddling, no problem, just turned 'em on, paired them, and they worked......

    Tried again on the desktop. Same result. Went to the Asus site and downloaded THEIR version of the latest Bluetooth driver(s) and installed them. Rebooted. Same result. Unpaired the headphones and repaired them. Still same result.

    Did all the stuff I found over at Microsoft, which of course did nothing.

    I ALSO have a DIFFERENT Bluetooth device (it's an Oticon ConnectClip, but it's just another Bluetooth headset, headphones to the computer), so I did the same thing with THAT. Paired it, connected it, did all the normal stuff. It ALSO shows disconnected for both the "headset" and the "headphones".

    AGAIN, went to the laptop, did the same thing with the ConnectClip and it works PERFECTLY..........

    The ONLY difference I can see between the two systems is that in the Bluetooth screen where it shows the device paired, on the laptop it says "Connected Music" (or possibly "Paired Music" - the laptop is in another location so I can't check the exact wording) but on the desktop it just says "Connected" or "Paired".

    I'm out of ideas - both work on the laptop, both work on the phone, NEITHER works on the desktop...

    Hello,

    I have a pair of jlab jbuds that used to use with my old laptop, a 2 year old Dell, with no problem whatsoever. I recently bought a brand new ASUS computer, and now those same headphones cannot stop disconnecting and reconnecting whenever there isn't any
    sound actively playing.

    I have tried:

    • restarting my computer
    • updating windows
    • deleting and redownloading the bluetooth driver
    • turning power saving settings off on my bluetooth settings
    • disconnecting and reconnecting the headphones
    • running the troubleshooter

    None of these seem to work at all. Worth noting: because this is a new laptop, there is no "old" driver to "revert" to - this has been a problem since I opened the box. My computer is set to work with Bluetooth 5.1, my headphones are Bluetooth 5.0. Worth
    noting that I have a much older pair of Bluetooth headphones set to work with Bluetooth 3, and they do not have this problem. Only my newer pair of headphones with Bluetooth 5.0.

    Please help me, this is driving me mad.
