Bluetooth skull candy wireless ear buds are connected to my Samsung laptop but audio is still playing through the speakers. I have tried multiple things and sometimes it will randomly work and most others it does not. I have windows 11. Ear buds work with cell phone. The issue is my laptop.

Problem with bluetooth and connecting to Samsung Earbuds

    Good afternoon guys.

I have this problem with my Windows 11 Laptop. Basically I can't connect and get my Samsung Earbuds to work with bluetooth (these work in every device that i have).

Audio is connected, but I can't find the mic in my audio devices.

    This is what i tried:

    1. Update windows drivers.
    2. Rebooted the device and the PC multiple times.
    3. Repaired the earbuds multiple times.
My hardware is an elitebook 830 g8.

    How can i fix this?

Phone Link vs Samsung Flow vs Samsung Dex?

I found out about the problem when I ran games on the phone using Phone Link. Assuming that the PC is connected to the phone with Phone link On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:
    • Calls = Enabled
    • Audio = Not available

    Samsung HW-T400 soundbar noise issues

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

The issue you're experiencing with your Samsung HW-T400 soundbar when connected to a Windows 11 computer, but not with other devices, suggests that the problem may be related to how Windows 11 is handling the Bluetooth connection or audio processing for this particular soundbar.

Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Update Drivers and Windows 11:
      1. Ensure your Windows 11 system is fully updated. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that can fix compatibility issues with Bluetooth and audio devices.
      2. Update your Bluetooth and sound card drivers. You can do this through the Device Manager by finding the relevant devices and selecting "Update driver." Alternatively, check the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.
    2. Change Audio Output Quality:
      1. Go to 'Sound settings' in Windows 11.
      2. In the 'Output' section, find your Samsung soundbar and click on 'Device properties.'
      3. Click on 'Additional device properties' which will open a new window.
      4. Go to the 'Advanced' tab and change the 'Default Format' to a different quality setting. Sometimes, certain formats can cause issues with specific devices.
    3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

In the same 'Additional device properties' window from the previous step, check if there's an option to 'Disable all enhancements' or 'Enable audio enhancements.' If present, try toggling this setting.
    4. Check Bluetooth Settings:
      1. Go to 'Bluetooth & devices' in the Windows 11 settings.
      2. Remove the Samsung soundbar from the list of paired devices and pair it again. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.
    5. Experiment with Different Connection Methods:

If your soundbar and computer both support it, try using an alternative connection method, such as a 3.5mm audio cable or an optical cable, to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is strictly related to Bluetooth.
    6. And you may Perform a clean boot (microsoft.com) to see if it is normal, this is a troubleshooting step. In this mode, we can further confirmed whether it is caused by system problems or third-party software or personalized Settings. So please be patient.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step so that it will help you get you back on track.
If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards
