Windows 10: my bluetooth is gone and the drivers are gone

my bluetooth is gone and the drivers are gone. when i go to device manager the bluetooth drivers are just not therehere are the specsive had this laptop for around 3 years now, this problem has only become apparent last month. the bluetooth driver is gone and the ability to pair devices is just gone. last week i was able to just restart my laptop and everything would be fine, but when that didnt work i went to google and looked for help. one option i saw that ive seen work before for others is to delete the drivers then scan for hardware changes in device manager. so i tried it. when i scanned

Bluetooth is gone

I'm not sure if this was because of a recent update, but I was using my bluetooth for audio in one moment and the next it wouldn't connect. Upon further inspection, it appears my Bluetooth is gone.

Symptoms: Running WIndows 10

• Bluetooth does not show up in device manager
• Troubleshooter tells me there is no Bluetooth capability on my laptop (there is and I use it frequently)
• It's as if it just disappeared from my laptop

I have tried:

• Making sure My Windows is up to date (it is)
• Installing drivers from the manufacturer's site
• sfc/scannow

I can't seem to get my laptop to realize it has Bluetooth no matter what I have tried so far. Does anyone have any voodoo I can try next?

 

Bluetooth on/off i.e. drivers gone

Tried to watch movie & listen on Sonos Move via Bluetooth. Worked a minute, then stopped. Connected ok, but just no sound. Went through all steps of disconnect reconnect, windows reboot (troubleshooter for Bluetooth & Audio & Hardware & Devices), tried setting as default device, updating drivers etc etc.

Similar with Sonos Roam SL, but waited 'til halfway through movie then stopped working. Sonos work fine on mobile phones. When connecting to Surface Go, similar problems, just in reverse. On the Asus, did full format & reinstall of windows (It's a good 9 years old).... same problem.

Asked Google, found something called Auslogics Driver Updater & used the free version to try & update drivers........ now Bluetooth cannot be turned on or off, it's like the software removed any recognition of that hardware at all!! So again formatted windows & started again.... but bluetooth is still gone! Any suggestions?

 

Turned off bluetooth, now the button is gone.

I bought a Bluetooth dongle (ZEXMTE), worked as I needed, but then I turn off Bluetooth under devices, and now I cannot get it to turn back on.








Ive ran the troubleshooter
The device shows up under device manager (when I unplug and plug it in, it plays the noise but doesnt flash anymore)
Ive tried reinstalling the driver
Made sure Bluetooth services are running

Also tried these steps:

So I went into the device manager, right clicked, uninstalled the device. When I plugged it back it in, voila its working again.
