Windows 10: My bluetooth toggle switch is missing

i use wireless headphones and i Logitech wireless Bluetooth mouse for some reason the other day my bluetooth toggle switch was missing

Bluetooth is turned off and the toggle switch is missing

I installed Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse yesterday. It worked fine as soon as I connected it. Less than 24 hours later bluetooth has stopped working altogether.

• In the control panel the bluetooth screen shows the mouse but it says bluetooth is turned off.
  
• The toggle switch to turn bluetooth back on is missing.
• I have updated the bluetooth drivers but this hasn't helped.
• I looked in Device Manager but I couldn't see bluetooth in the network settings. I'm not sure I was looking in the right place. I was following advice from some web site.

I've searched the MS help forums and it seems the problem of the dissapearing toggle switch was known about in 2015. Why hasn't this been fixed yet? We've just had two major updates. We are told, "Windows is a service." What are we paying for when you can't
fix a known problem like this? I understand that Microsoft relies on other users to answer these questions but I've seen Microsoft moderators on here. Please answer my question about the apparent lack of a fix for this problem.

 

I have lost my Bluetooth On/Off Toggle Switch


Lost my On/Off Toggle for Bluetooth

Last year whilst I was on 8.1 before my upgrade to Windows 10, I noticed that the On/Off Toggle had disappeared – see screenshot (taken when it was on 8.1).

Now I am on Windows 10 the toggle still has not reappeared.

I definitely had the On/Off option, but I think it disappeared after a routine Windows 8.1 update last year, but I cannot be sure.

Some people suggested that I should delete all the Bluetooth software on my computer, then reboot and the software will be reinstalled correctly. I have not done this because of the fear that once deleted the software to gone forever. I dont have copies of this software and it seems logical that if I delete it, then its gone.

I am using Dell Wireless 1705 Bluetooth, Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator - see Device Manager Screenshot. To turn off I now have to go into Device Manager and disable it.

My Driver is Qualcomm Atheros Communications, ver 10.0.1.1 dated 28-07-2015

I can Disable/Enable the driver, but still no toggle otherwise the Bluetooth works fine.

Any suggestions.

 

Bluetooth toggle missing in settings.

I worked through your suggestions and still have no Bluetooth toggle in the windows settings.

Still can't pair my Logitech keyboard.

I am running the Creators update which was installed at 22/11/2017 and was only unable to connect with bluetooth a few days ago so it cant be that update.

Also I completed a system restore and no change, No toggle and no connectivity to my bluetooth keyboard.

I find most times you always learn heaps by troubleshooting problems but you have to decide at some point when to stop and switch to an alternative.

So I am going to wait for a week (or when I have a few dollars) and purchase a Bluetooth Adapter.
