Windows 10: My boot logo changed to HP when I switched to UEFI

Hi, earlier my laptop was in legacy bios mode. I switched it with mgr2gpt command and it successfully switched to UEFI.

But now it shows HP logo during boot time and not windows icon. How can I change it?

still can see HP boot logo

Hi Eric

The setting for that is built into a chip on the motherboard on your PC and is not user configurable

If you have UEFI BIOS, then more than likely the manufacturer (HP) have overridden the Windows Logo on boot

Sometimes, though very rarely if you Boot into BIOS, you can turn off the manufacturers logo on boot - on a HP repeatedly press F10 on the HP logo to boot your system into BIOS

Please note, do not make any other changes in BIOS settings . ..

 

Can't disable UEFI boot on HP 250 G3

I got it, I was not accustomed to UEFI (because on HP 4540s I disabled it) and I automatically thought that if I boot from the first menu it will boot in UEFI mode, but I have to go to second menu "Boot From EFI File" to get a list of EFI boot options:



I installed Ubuntu Mate and Windows 8.1 from the first menu (the picture) and they both installed in BIOS mode. Quite simple really.
