Windows 10: My brand new laptop and Windows key

I recently purchased a brand new laptop with Windows 10 after activating it with one Microsoft account I discovered the Microsoft account was compromised can I remove it from the device and start over or is my license key burned? And question two is how do I go about creating a recovery flash drive?

I ran the troubleshoot power option and it said “Display brightness setting is too high”

but it’s a brand new laptop, i should think I could expect the most from it.

I haven’t tried the next steps uou have suggested yet.

 

Brand New windows key won't work.

I recently bought a windows product key from amazon for my newly built pc. I installed windows, inputted the product key.

All seemed fine. A day later it is prompting me to input the product key and when I do it is saying the key has been used on another computer. Baring in mind I bought this brand new from amazon.

Any suggestions?

 

Prompted for Windows Product Key for a Brand New Laptop???

My husband bought me a brand new laptop for Christmas from Wal-Mart. As soon as I started the laptop up and it did its updates, it asked me for a product key. Now, I looked all over the box, inside the battery case, on the laptop itself, all over the plastic
covering, the Styrofoam that protected the laptop and even the thin black film (whatever it is) protecting the screen/keyboard trying to find this product key and could not find it. Finally, I tried to look up how to find my product key using my smartphone
and saw that Microsoft "did away" with product keys. So I clicked a sentence that said something like "leave this until later" or "enter later" or something like that thinking that would fix the problem. However, it didn't. We opened gifts last night and this
morning when I went to surf the web after charging my laptop during the night, in the lower right-hand corner of my screen it said: "Windows is not activated, go to settings to activate Windows". So now I'm confused. Microsoft did not provide the little sticker
in any of the parts it said on my laptop and my husband was not asked to provide an e-mail when he purchased my laptop.

So my question is, how do I fix this problem? This is extremely frustrating. If Microsoft has "done away" with product keys, then how come I am being prompted for one on a brand new laptop???
