    Hey, i just bought a new hp victus and it turns out that it doesnt support windows standard hardware security even though all the requirements for it are met. Not only that but even app and browser control doesnt work idk what to do.

  2. How to restore Device security and App & Browser Control

    Computer came with windows 10 installed. Microsoft said windows 11 could be installed so I did. Worked fine for some time then recently updates would be found but they would not update. Tried various fixes found on the internet but they did not fix the problem. Finally took the recommended step of reinstalling windows while maintaining my files. While updates now work there is a problem with the security built into windows 10 and 11. Device security now says: "Standard hardware security not supported" and App & Browser control is not working. Since there was no problem before it has to be a Microsoft glitch that caused this problem. Is there any way to resolve this problem without reloading windows?

    I am using the latest version of Windows 11 22H2 and I have found it out that the App & Browser Control is missing from the Windows security dashboard. Although it is shown in settings but on the dashboard its completely missing. When I clicked it there is no response for it. I am on my Windows 11 22H2 with all the updates. I have tried reset and repair that's available. I also tried the admin power shell reset package. No luck. I have two machines with this problem. Device Security says "standard hardware security not supported. Hardware is Dell 3310 I have 90 of them 88 are working fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

      1. Under Windows Logs, check the Application and System logs for any errors or warnings that occur around the time you start your PC or when the warning icon appears.
      2. Look for any events related to Windows Security, App & Browser control, or related services.
      3. If you find an event that seems related, you can double-click on it to get more details. Sometimes the description provides a specific error code or message that can be researched further.
    2. Reset Windows Security App: You can try resetting the Windows Security app to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve underlying issues.
