Windows 10: My brand new laptop has keys repeating

Hello, I literally just got this new laptop, top of the line about a month ago. I've kept it in great condition and it's up to date on updates. Just the other day however I've run into an issue. Several of they keys, most noticeably the W, Spacebar and left arrow key are repeating.It happens randomly, one instance it'll be fine, the next I go to pause a Youtube video by pressing the spacebar, and it rapidly pauses and unpauses it, or tapping the spacebar to type something will make it go on infinitely. However, it stops once I press the affected key again. The keys aren't getting stuck however

I ran the troubleshoot power option and it said “Display brightness setting is too high”

but it’s a brand new laptop, i should think I could expect the most from it.

I haven’t tried the next steps uou have suggested yet.

Hi there, I hope you are doing well. Before I talk about my issue I want to provide some context. I have got a brand new
Haier y11c laptop. The issue with this laptop is that whenever I try to write something either in the login screen or in a text editor, it replicates each key press on its own. I have contacted the customer service for the warranty twice, and
on both instances they reinstalled the windows and applied some patches which made the issue disappear. However on both instances, after almost a day the issue reappeared. I have tried
all solutions suggested in this URL: Repeat Keys not Working, but again the problem is still
there. The keyboard works fine in the safe mode, however even after the clean boot the issue is still present. I also uninstalled a few Windows Updates i.e. kb4340917, however the issue wasn't resolved. I am writing to you now as a last resort
hoping that you guys will help me out in rectifying this issue.

 

Right Click Crash Brand New Laptop


In ShellExView:

1. This program does not require installation, just right click and run as Administrator
2. From the menu, click on Options then click on Filter by Extension Type and select Context Menu
3. On the list, you'll see some of the entries with pink background, those are installed by the third party software
4. Hold down CTRL Key and select all of them then click on the red button on top left corner to disable.
5. Click on the Options again and select Restart Explorer
6. Now try to right click on desktop to see if it fix your problem. If it does then start to enable one by one and repeat step 5 until the problem occurs again, that's the offending extension.

For the service issue, try resetting the winsock:

netsh winsock reset

This works for that issue in 8 on occasion, not sure if same for 10, but worth a shot.
