Windows 10: My Brightness up key is not working properly, how can I fix it on my new laptop

my keyboard brightness up key is being strange. So at full brightness if I press it, it drags my brightness to 20%. The brightness down key works as expected. If I am at the lowest brightness the brightness up key works until it hits 20%. If I click the settings pannel and move it up manually it works but why is my key acting strange? It's just a hassel to have to click into the settings pannel instead of just tapping a key. When troubleshooting the keyboard the one in my laptop everything said it was completely fine

Sorry for the delay in response.

• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Do you face the issue with only brightness?

The special keys like Fn key with the options to change brightness or to reduce sound are provided by the laptop manufacturer.

We would suggest you to update or download the software from the computer manufacturer website.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.
