Windows 10: My broadband connection is slow

Many thanks. I have recently bought a refurbished Fujitsu PC with Windows 10. It has a solid state hard drive. It has a Pentium dual-core CPU E5400 @ 2.7GHz. 4 GB RAM. 7.500Gb virtual memory, 5.06Gb available. My broadband connection is slow - 1 kps on average. When I am on the Internet the screen freezes - usually after about 5-10 minutes. I have had it back to the shop twice but they can find no fault. They have super-fast broadband. If I disconnect from my wireless router I have no problem. The PC runs fine and doesn't freeze at all. I have changed the wireless connector but no good. I also have a HP laptop running Windows 10 with no problem on the Internet. It never freezes. Can you help?k

Data trough 4G mobile broadband connection blocked when ethernet connected

Hi Robert,

It appears that Windows is managing your connection. It only allows you to connect to your mobile broadband connection if you're not connected to either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. To work around this behavior, I suggest disabling this feature to allow
you to manually connect to your cellular or mobile connection. Please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular.
2. Uncheck the box for Let Windows manage this connection.
3. Once done, try connecting manually to your mobile broadband while Ethernet is connected and see if it works.

How to conect 2 broadband connections to the server

Hi,

Right now i have one broadband connection to the server. However , I am facing problems due to regular internet disconnections. Now I am planing to connect one more broadband connection to the same server by using 2 gateway enable router. So that if one internet connection fails, second one automatically enables.

Is there any 2 gateway enable router... if yes, which is the best one ( company)....?
Is this setup possible? If no, could someone please suggest....How can make it possible....

 

How2 quickly turn on a Dial-up Broadband Connection?


Here and elsewhere I found how to create a Dial-up, broadband connection (sorry still using this old stuff seeing that I am at a university in China) shortcut placed on the desktop. B4 the shortcut I had to:
-1- click on the R-side of the task bar icon
-2- Click on the broadband strip on top
-3- Click on the connection
-4- click on Connect
Creating a shortcut from there (Settings -> Network & Internet -> DIal-up) onto the desktop actually creates an extra step since it defaults to VPN instead--and even if it didn't it would still be 4 steps.
Is this any way to make this a 1 or 2-step process?
