  1. My brother accidentally completely wiped the disk partitions and volumes

Years ago my brother installed Linux on a 72 GB partition, I aksed him to remove it since the updates were increasinlgy occupying more space on my asus storage and I needed the remaining half of the disk. He directly uninstalled it wich promped a boot error I fixed by going into BIOS. However the disk partition was still unallocated. I tried to use diskpart and merge them but it wouldnt work. My brother went to disk manager using windows+R and I think he completely erased everything, it went to bluescreen. When opened, inaccessible boot device was the error and the automatic repair didnt work.

    :)

How did I wipe a disconnected drive while performing a fresh install?

    Hi codyfarris

From your description, that drive was connected, when you were wiping partitions from the other drive, is it possible you accidentally wiped that deive as well, it is the logical conclusion

What method did you use to wipe those partitions, did you use Diskpart - list volume. Diskpart list disk or some other commands?

  3. undo partition shrink

    Hi,

If you accidentally shrink the volume of your SSD partition, there is an option to extend the volume as well. To extend the volume of your SSD partition, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X on your keyboard and select Disk Management.
    • Right-click the partition that you want to expand and click Extend Volume.
    • Select the amount of space that you want to extend.

Keep us in the loop with the result.

Sudden automatic appearance of disk partition on Windows 10

    Hi,

Please let us know, if you have made any changes prior to this issue.

I suggest you to remove the partition and check.

To delete an existing partition from Windows 10:

    • Follow the instructions from step 1 to 5 from the above section.
    • From the right pane of the Disk Management section, right-click the volume (partition) that you want to delete.
    • From the context menu that appears, click Delete Volume.

    Hope this information helps.

    Regards,
