Discus and support My browser keeps crashing and adding an unwanted extension, "Phone." in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; It keeps coming back when I remove it.     My browser keeps crashing and adding an unwanted extension, "Phone."


    It keeps coming back when I remove it. I do not know what it does. What I do know is that is is really pissing me off. How do I get rid of it?

    Corrupted browser cache and extensions are some of the things that can cause your browser to crash. To isolate your concern, we'd like to ask the following:

    • Have you made any recent changes on your device prior to your concern?
    • Have you tried using a different browser other than the ones mentioned above? If yes, did you encounter the same error?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you've performed to resolve your concern?

    Browser Extension

    Unfortunately Windows Defender and many other antimalware programs do not properly address issues with some PUPS and other forms of adware.

    Is this what you are referring to?

    If you do not see the program in Control Panel that you think is
    responsible for the ads and popups or you cannot uninstall it then move on to steps 2 and 3 (scan with AdwCleaner and MalwareBytes Free). If necessary you can run Hitman Pro (Trial Version) as suggested in step 4. You
    may need to reset your browsers (see step 5).
