Windows 10: My built-in camera on a lenovo laptop isn't being found, and it says code 45 camera not...

I need help on how to fix this

my camera is not connected to the computer but its a built-in camera (code 45)

I am trying to use my webcam but its not working

I check the device manager to find that its not connected :

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

but im using a laptop with a built-in camera

any way i can fix this ?

Thanks for updating us on the results of the troubleshooting steps that you have completed. Since the built-in webcam is still not working correctly and the same error code 0xA00F4244 (0xC00DABED) is still appearing, we suggest that we check the camera privacy
settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.

Camera failure in Windows 10 laptop

Drivers look OK and are the same as the drivers on my Laptop camera, the only difference is you are getting Code 45 in the General Tab. Mine says "This device is working properly." That eliminates what I said in post #5 about driver modifiers. There seem to be none. That may mean the Application you have installed is suspect, it may require certain camera features which are non existent in your laptop camera. The obvious thing to do is uninstall that Application and then see if your camera works with more mundane applications like the Camera App, Skype, Zoom, etc. Settings > Privacy > Camera > Allow apps to access your camera. Check your lists of MS Store Apps and Desktops Apps with camera access. The worst case is if the hardware is dead, or the cable to the camera. Attachment 365649Attachment 365650
