Windows 10: my camera does not work when I connect to a webex meeting

My camera on my Lenovo laptop with Windows 11 does not work when I try to connect with a webex meeting. the camera settings seem fine, but the video icon on the meeting site does not open.

Camera not working with Cisco WebEx

The camera was working fine with Cisco WebEx. Then on joining a WebEx meeting, the WebEx application crashed while starting the video. Since then the camera on my Surface Pro 4 will not work in WebEx. It stays greyed out.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the WebEx application. I have checked for updates to the camera driver and I seem to have the latest update.

Any ideas?

In regards to your concern, please help me with the following questions:

• Is the in-build application of the camera working on the computer?

You can try the troubleshooting steps for
Windows can't find or start the camera

Also try to provide firewall permissions for the Cisco WebEx application. It should work fine.

Can't connect Audio and Video in Webex meeting

The past week everything was good, but suddenly I am not able to have video/audio in a webex meeting. When I join in a pop up will show:

"It is not possible to connect Audio or Video because we can't validate the security certificate for your Webex website. This error may be caused because an unvalid certificate, an old one or because it was modified and has become unvalid"

I have been in contact with a Webex tech guy who did not manage to fix the problem even with remote control and thinkering here and there with the certificates. He adviced me to contact Microsoft because it seems it is not a problem with Webex.

I have done what it is said here: Error: Cannot Connect to Audio or Video, While Joining Audio or Video in the Meeting

All those certificates are installed:

• Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority
• VeriSign Class 3 Primary CA - G5
• VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary CA - G3
• QuoVadis Root CA2

I am out of ideas. Can anyone help?
