    AS advised by Microsoft, I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.All is OK but when I tried to scan a document from my Canon PIXMA MP495 it will not work - the printer works but not the scanner.And according to Microsoft and Canon, the scanner driver is no longer supported by Windows 11Without having to buy a new printer, how can this be resolved?

    Hi. Recently upgraded from Win 8.1 to 10 - only to find my Canon Pixma MP495 multi-function printer/scanner/copier no longer recognised. It worked fine as printer and scanner on 8 and 8.1.

    Downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Canon - all seemed good, the printer worked fine...however, tonight I've tried to scan a doc - Windows says no scanner is attached? Have re-downloaded and installed the Canon driver - it's still not seeing
    the scanner function.

    Can't seem to find a solution to this. Thanks, Microsoft!

    Anyone come across this problem? Any help appreciated.

    Canon MP495 scanner function not recognised by Windows 10 - printer works OK?

    I tried various suggestions on this thread and nothing quite worked for me (perhaps I didn't understand what was being suggested).

    I had long ago installed the Canon MP495 driver package that includes the IJ network tool. So I ran the IJ network tool and found that it believed there was no driver associated with the printer. This in spite of the fact that the printer was working as
    a printer, just not as a scanner.

    So I followed the IJ network tool instructions ( Canon : PIXMA Manuals : When the Printer Driver Is Not Associated with a Port ) for my situation and succeeded in getting "Canon MP495 series Printer WS" associated with my MF device. Then I
    rebooted and ran the standard Windows 10 Scan app and it detected the scanner and everything worked great.
