Windows 10: my card reader doesn't pick up my sd cards

Discus and support my card reader doesn't pick up my sd cards in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; When I insert my SD cards into my PC it doesn't even show any action at all.     my card reader doesn't pick up my sd cards


    When I insert my SD cards into my PC it doesn't even show any action at all. My SD cards work in other devices but my Lenovo Flex 5 doesn't read them although it sure used to! I looked under Devices and printers but the SD cards don't show up. I also looked in my folders but it isn't there either. It totally doesn't do any action when I insert them. I need help!

    SD card reader problem after updating to Windows 10

    After installing windows 10 my card reader will not oper but it does make noise like it is going to open but it doesn`t open it

    There are several reasons why your SD card reader is not working. To assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What are the other troubleshooting steps have you done so for?
    • Have you tried to use another SD card reader and see if it is getting recognized or detected by your computer?

    Thanks guys. It looks like it basically comes down to what the BIOS thinks of the card reader, and if it even sees it.


    That's basically one of the questions there... since the machine has a card reader built in, can they boot from an SD card?

    As stated, it just comes down to what the BIOS thinks and does.
