Windows 10: my card reader doesn't read my SD cards anymore

My Lenovo Flex 5 is not reading my SD cards anymore. When I insert them the computer shows no action at all. I know the problem isn't the SD cards because they work in other devices. I looked under devices and printers but my drive doesn't show up. If I don't get help I'm going to put this thing out in the yard and shoot it to shreds with my gun!

I believe reading between the lines I know the answer to this but I will ask anyway: Is the card readable by your PC using a card reader?

If not, it could be that the card is corrupted in some way and a reformat (appreciate that's painful but...) could fix the card.

If it is readable by a PC but not by your 1520, have you tried another SD card in the 1520? That will isolate it down to this particular SD card or the reader in your 1520 itself.

If no other card is readable in the 1520, I would suggest as a last step to do a factory reset (make sure you have a backup to OneDrive) then try to read a card again. It could be, somehow, that the driver for the card reader has gone wonky (technical term)
and a reset will fix it. Or, worst case, there is a physical problem with the card reader.
