    My child cannot sign in to her new laptop


    Hello.I bought a new laptop to my child with Windows 10.During the initial setup she was asked to create an MS account and so she did.When setup completed, she tried to sign in and was asked for parental consent.I tried to provide parental concent by sgning in with my MS account several times but I always get "Something's not working, Its not you its us" message.I also tried the "I'm not a parent or guardian" option that sends an email to the parent me and then tried to provide consent on my own PC with same results.The result is that the new laptop cannot be used :-For some reason the erro

    Child Account Get Greyed Out

    Thanks for the suggestion, but I did the following instead.

    I have another laptop, 2 weeks old, with Windows 10 Home on it.

    On that one, I tried the same steps with the child account, and got the exact same results.

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We understand the inconvenience caused and will assist you.

    I suggest you to check if check if you are able to login online using the Child account. I suggest you to change the password for the child account by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    • Click on Family Safety and select the child account.
    • On the left navigation pane, select Change Password.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts and check if the password is changed.
    • Login with the new password and check if it helps.

    Could you suggest a list of books that contain all the information on the internet and where to buy them for the same cost per child as these laptops?
