My google chrome wasnt working and i tried going into the registry regedit. Somehow my windows 11 hp pavillion just will not boot. The white indicator lights up, but the screen is dark. I tried holding down power button to force restart but doesnt work.

Ability to enable notifications for Chrome missing on Windows 11 "notifications from apps and other senders"

So this is what I tried and so far it is working. Here are the steps below.

1. Make a new user account
   
2. Log into the new user account and open registry editor
   
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings
   
4. Right click on the Chrome folder and select export
   
5. Save this reg file onto a USB so I can access it in my primary user account
   
6. Log back to my original user account that wasn't working and double clicked on that registry file to add it to the registry
   
7. Opened Windows Settings and back to the notification settings page I can see chrome is disabled and I could reenable it
   
8. Chrome notifications work now.
   

I don't know if this is the best way of doing it but thanks for the suggestion.
