My computer accidentally synced with wrong computer.

My computer accidentally synced with another computer in the house. Now my background, taskbar, and email are all set to that one. My desktop apps and apps along the taskbar are all the same, but they changed themes. No other windows forums have been able to fix it. Help?

    :)

    Hi Lori,

By default sync settings of the computer is turned on if you are using the same Microsoft account across your devices and it would get the same settings.

For the computer not to sync with other devices, we suggest that you turn off sync settings on that certain device. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + I.
    • Click Accounts.
    • On the left pane, click Sync your settings.
    • Turn off Sync settings.
Let us know how it goes.

Does this computer build have compatibility problems? Opinions welcomed!

Lets start with what you're going to use this computer for, not what you want to put in it.

Rules/steps to building a computer (in chronological order):
First rule: Determine what your needs are.
    Second rule: Define your budget.
    Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
    Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
    Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.

My computer accidentally synced with wrong computer.

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?
