  1. My computer acts as if the f7 key is permanently pressed

Dear all, I'm using Windows 11 and a logi MX keys keyboard, Often the computer acts as if the F7 key was permanently pressed: for example it activates the spell check in Excel and even if the spell check is complete it starts again the spell check process, a never ending story. For other application it asks if one wants to turn on caret browsing, etc.. The only solution so far is to restart the computer, which is not ideal. The issues appears frequently and, for example, I cannot save the Excel files before restarting,. Any idea ? Many thanks !

    :)

    Caret browsing F7 key

The most recent update to windows forces me to answer the caret browsing question every time I press F7. I play a game that uses F7 for a critical feature. Every time I restart the game I get the same question even if I check the checkbox to remember. Is
there a way to change the behavior to ctrl-F7 or alt-F7?

Mapping this to an unmodified function key is a terrible choice. You’ve impacted a lot of software by permanently altering the behavior of a commonly used key. I’m not saying that giving an easy method of controlling caret browsing is bad, but the chosen
    implementation is unacceptable.

  3. Windows Key is permanently pressed.

    Hello,

In windows 10, from time to time my windows key is permanently pressed. It acts like if I am pressing it when I am not. When I only press the E key, or the space bar, it lunches file explorer or keyboard language selection. I don’t want my windows key to be permanently pressed, how do I disable that forever, so that the behavior does not come back ?

This is a software issue, not a hardware issue. My keyboard works fine. I have the impression that it happens when I press too many times windows key + ctrl + right or left to switch from one virtual desktop to the next. A keyboard combination presses the windows key permanently. Pressing fast ant repeatedly ctrl makes the behavior go away. Then my windows key is not pressed permanently anymore. But, with time the behavior gets back. This is very annoying. Please help.

My computer acts as if the f7 key is permanently pressed

Computer acts as if the CTRL key is pressed down when it is not

    Hey guys,

I've been experiencing an issue with my pc (Windows 10) recently where my computer acts as if the CTRL key is pressed down when in fact it is not. For example, typing "w" in a web browser executes the CTRL + w command, and so forth. Viewing the onscreen
keyboard confirms that the CTRL key is pressed down. Here are the things I have tried to fix this:

    • press both CTRL keys for 15 seconds
    • turn off sticky keys, toggle keys, and filter keys
    • switch out my keyboard
    • plug my keyboard into a different usb port
    • uninstall and reinstall my keyboard drivers
    • hold CTRL + Shift for 15 seconds
    • reinstall windows
    • run system file checker

The problem seems to be completely random, but occurs mostly when I'm running a program other than a web browser, such as a game. Any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
