My Computer Audio Is Not Working | Nothing and I mean Nothing is working..... I have no hope.

It started today 7/21/2018 when I got my new keyboard and mouse, a Havit Keyboard and mouse combo (Very easy to find on amazon), I got on my pc to only see a X symbol by my audio, I hover over it and it says "No Audio Output is Installed" Now I'm confused because I'm using a TV right now, but i must say that I haven't used my pc in 2 to 1 months now.

I've tried everything and I mean everything, Re-installed drivers, scanned for hardware changes, Add legacy hardware.

I mean everything please help me I just want to play games with my Friends.

Also I recently had a Apple TV Plugged into this TV and the remote volume for some reason controls mines instead of the TV it's plugged up to. May that be a reason?

    :)

Hard data works on the desktop through software but streaming audio or flash audio through internet browsers doesnt seem to play.

im working on this problem on someone else's computer. i've updated their realtek audio controllers through windows update, i've uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash, i've tried both IE and FF3 and i still dont see any resolve.

if there's anything that can be done or if anyone else has had this problem in the past, suggestions are welcomed.

this computer is a compaq with vista home premuim, 1G ram, intel chipsets, and realtek audio controllers.

    Hi North,

It happens that there's a corrupted file inside one of your system folders that is related to your sound drivers that causes the sound output inconsistent or not working at all. When a component of an operating system that’s connected to audio devices
has been missing or corrupted, your audio output will function in an unusual behavior.

    Here's what you can do:

Important: The first thing to do is to install your device manually, you need to visit the website of the device manufacturer to download the latest drivers and install it. If
the latest drivers are not available, you can also
contact them directly through their support hotline.

    • There’s a built-in utility called System File Checker tool that helps users to perform scanning, repairing, and restoring of missing or corrupted files of a computer. You can visit this link:
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted
      system files
to know how to run this tool.
    • Perform a full system scan by using Windows Defender.
    • Update your operating system to the latest version including the cumulative updates.
    • Make sure that your audio peripherals we’re plugged in properly.
    • Test your speaker or any sound output devices by replacing them. Try the other device if it does the same.
    • You can also download and run our easy fix solutions from this link:
How to use Microsoft easy fix solutions. Once there, click the
Find and fix problems playing sounds hyperlink. Download and run it to start the troubleshooting.

If you continue to have this issue even after performing the above steps, please reply to this thread. The system will notify me so I can get back to you and provide you more answers.
