Windows 10: My computer cant acces wifi after renaming netfilter2.sys to netfilter2.sys.old

Tldr: I had issue with bsod irql_driver not less or equal. With windows support we got tu renaming netfilter2.sys it works i dont get bsod anymore but i cant acces wifi by wifi adapters anymore. I dont know if it is the issues but netfiler2 extension went form sys to old. BSOD Windows 10 - Driver Verifier causing windows to boot loop and carnt get BSOD to find driver at fault. need help!

Hi,

I have just managed to run a driver verifier with only selecting a couple of drivers at a time.

I selected all Nvidia drivers and one other 'netfilter2.sys'...

I managed to get it to a BSOD and have checked the dump file (see below)

it turned out that the 'netfiler2.sys' driver failed the driver verifier check so I have now removed this from my computer.

Driver verified and Related to Kernel device driver from MSecure Data Labs (netfilter2.sys)

Windows Error Reporting suggests a minidump file was created.

Do you have any application, such as CCleaner, set up to delete dump files?

Also, the Event Logs show one of the blue screen errors was preceded by a crash of the DSAServiceHelper.exe which is a component of Intel Driver and Support Assistant which may indicate the error occurred while checking/updating/installing an Intel driver.

The System Information file shows the netfilter2.sys as a loaded driver

A similar crash (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) that seemed to occur installing Intel drivers was traced to the netfilter2.sys in the following topic:

So, try uninstalling the software that installed the netfilter2.sys and see if the error resolves.

That software may be a VPN software.

Afterwards you could try reinstalling the software.
