Windows 10: My computer can't connect to any wifi, without me manually writing the IP-adress

My computer can't connect to any wifi, without me manually writing the IP-adress. It happened after a IT guy advised me to try and connect to a router, with manual ip connection. After i switched it back to automatic DHCP i can not connect to any wifi. ive tried reseting my network card, and i cant seem to fix the problem. Before my computer connected to any wifi without any problems.please help.

i had a dynamic ip address so i tried to have a static one so i did some steps to change it but it didnt work out so i put ip address on obtain automatically now i cannot see my computer's ip address listed on ipconfig /all please help

Does your router support specific IP address reservations? Any client in the Address Reservation table will always get the same IP address. The client gets set to DHCP but it always pulls the same IP address from the router. That way the router handles the DNS name lookup for the local network.





Also, is the network connection on the computer set as a private network?

Is Network Discovery turned on?

 

Changing IP setting for my WIFI on windows phone Mango

In order to connect to my Wifi network I need to fill in manually the ip settings. however, when i try to do it the ip text box is just disabled and I can't enter my manual ip adress there.
