Windows 10: My computer can't find my camera. Error Code 0xA00F 424

My computer can't find my camera. It was working until about a week ago. I get the error message 0xA00F 424. I have gone through all the onscreen help suggestions but I cannot find the camera on my Device Manager.

Thanks for the follow up. One of the possible reasons why your camera's not working is due to permission issue. For us to resolve your concern, we recommend that you check the permission on your Camera app by following these steps:

• Open File Explorer and then go to the Pictures folder on your computer.
• Find the Camera Roll folder and right-click it.
• In the context menu, choose Properties.
• Once properties opened, click on the Security tab.
• Click on your name and select Edit.
• Click your name again and make sure the box Allow Full Control is checked.
• Select Apply and then OK to exit the properties.
• Restart the Camera app.

I replied that the problem was solved, on 09 June as follows:

Hi there,

Tried the suggestion below and found that the “allow full control” was ticked OK on all user lists. Tested camera. Still not working.

Then, went to “Start”, “This computer”, “Pictures” right clicked to “Pictures properties” ticked “Camera roll” box, then clicked “Restore defaults”.

My Camera now works.
