Windows 10: My computer crashed and now headphone and microphone are not working

I was using the computer and then it crashed and I had to restart, when I restarted sound was coming from my monitor instead of headphones and I realized it was not detecting my headphones. I googled how to fix this and I noticed some things: First thing I noticed is that realtek drivers are not showing up on device manager, I tried to re-install Realtek but I think I wasn't successful because even after downloading the codecs, installing and restarting its not showing up.



Second thing was the warning signal on High Definition Audio Controller and it saying "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"



I tried to fix this after looking how to do it online but it didn't work. It was something about services.msc then checking if something was on automatic and uninstall device then scam for hardware changes... didn't work.

I tried to restore to my last backup point 4 days ago but it didn't fix this problem.
I don't know what to do and I need help to fix this issue.

When I try Troubleshoot > Playing audio it says everything is fine because it detects my monitor and audio is fine from there, but it doesn't detect headphone and microphone.

TPM cannot be found in my computer, I think this has something to do with realtek also not being found but I am not sure. Anyone knows anything about this?

Then all I can sensibly suggest is that you get the RealTek driver from your computer maker / sound card maker again because installing it is the only other way of 'creating' the sound card entry in Device manager again.
- I noticed that you seemed to refer to having done this in your first post but you wrote that you tried installing the "codecs" rather than the "driver" and I assumed that was just a typing error.
- I assume that the RealTek sound card has not suffered a real hardware failure because that is quite unusual.
- The only time I'd expect that to fail to create the sound card entry in Device manager is if you had accidentally downloaded the wrong driver.
- - I do not know what your computer maker's / sound card maker's support arrangments are but for my Dells I enter my 'Dell service tag' to ensure that only drivers for my hardware are listed for download.
- - Other makers have different but equivalent procedures for ensuring the correct drivers are listed.

Do you have any Device manager entries in Other devices [which means devices for which drivers have not been installed]?
