Windows 10: My computer does not boot correctly.

Hello everyone! The reason for this is because I have been getting quite frustrated by a small problem with my PC booting up. I say the word "small" because it is something that does not interfere with the functionality of Windows. Once the computer boots, everything runs perfectly; but to make it work I have to do it manually. And most frustrating of all, it is almost impossible to start it when it has hibernated. To turn it on, I have to go to the boot menu and select the hard drive. To turn it on after being hibernated, I have to remove the battery and turn it on, so that the BIOS requests

  What is the make and model of your computer?
  

I suggest you check if you are able to boot into Windows Recovery Environment using installation media. Follow the steps provided below and check.

• • Insert the installation USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
  • In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
  • Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

Check if you are able to boot to this window. If you are unable to boot to this window, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and check.

Windows 10 not booting correctly

You may refer to the following suggestions and check if they fix the issue.



Method 1:

Step 1: Start your computer in safe mode and check if you get the error.

Refer this link to start the computer in safe mode.

If it works fine in safe mode, perform clean boot.



Step 2: Perform clean boot.

Clean boot will help us identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Note: After checking the functionality in clean boot, follow the suggestions under “How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting”.



Method 2: Login to the different user account and check if the same issue persists, if you do not have different user account, please create a new user account.

To create a new user account, refer to these suggestions:

  Add, delete, manager other user account

  Click Add user, follow on screen instructions.
