My computer does not recognize itself as a 64 bit, why is that and how do I change it?

My computer has a both x64-based processor and a 64 bit OS. I'm trying to download the EA system. and have turned off S mode. I thought I did everything right, but it's saying it cannot download a 64 bit application on a 32 bit system. No part of my computer is 32 bit, so I am awfully confused. Does anyone know what is going on?

    :)

  2. Change Windows 10 32 bit to 64 bit

What should determine this is whether you have more than 3.5 gb RAM which is all that 32 bit can recognize. Otherwise some weak processors like Atom may require 32 bit which is normally the case if it shipped from factory with it.

If you still want to change bit versions then you can reinstall either version with the same license at any time you want. Follow the

    Clean Install Windows 10
using the media provided in the steps.

You will get and keep the best possible install to the exact extent you stick with the steps, tools and methods in the linked tutorial. It's a better install than any amount of money could buy.

changing from 32bit to 64 bit

You would need to clean install Windows 10 64 bit to change to a 64 bit OS. Unless you dual boot as suggested this would wipe out all you files and programs.
