Windows 10: My computer does not recognize my Xbox Controller anymore because the Xbox Accessories app...

I tried updating my controller's firmware with the Xbox Accessories app. BIG MISTAKEThe update failed at 90% and now my computer does not recognize any of my Xbox controllers at all, wired or wireless. I've tried resetting the computer, I've tried different cables, I've tried manually finding the driver in the Windows folder, nothing works at all.I saw a post about trying to do a Windows Update, that doesn't work, it fails every time.I tried to Reset My PC, that doesn't work, it just says "Something went wrong" and stops.I tried formatting my drive using the Windows 11 install media on a USB s

Xbox Elite controller is not recognized in Xbox accessories app

I just spent four hours trying to get my new XBOX ELITE 2 CONTROLLER to be recognized by the WINDOWS 10 XBOX ACCESSORIES APP and it refuses.

The computer recognizes the controller but the XBOX ACCESSORIES APP does not. A thread from last year on the same topic was closed without resolution so lets try again (Redirecting).

What needs to be done for my WINDOWS 10 PC that is 100% up to date to be able to detect the XBOX ELITE 2 CONTROLLER with the XBOX ACCESSORIES APP? This should be a plug and play exercise and yet I've wasted half a day on it already.
