To explain it the best i can because it won't let me post a photo. its half a blue screen with : faces all across the top with some pixelated text and a 0% complete, with a QR Code that I can't scan because its pixelated. The rest of the screen is black, blue, red and white all classic broken screen look.

    :)

  2. Screen tearing not sure of cause

You posted a lot of information. That isn't a bad thing, but I would say a good chunk of people coming into the thread are going to be put off by it.

What I would suggest is taking the information you have there and short-handing it. People find it more readable to go down through a list of what has occurred and what you've done about it so far.

I'm sure someone will be along to help. That your mobo threw a beep code suggesting memory, and you ran 4 passes on it (MemTest?) without any problems, maybe you're looking at a problem with the mobo.

Again, try and shorthand your post.

M-Audio M-Track 2x2 Not Recognized by my computer.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We appreciate the research and troubleshooting you have done, this issue could be from the software end or from the hardware itself.

Please try few of the troubleshooting below to further eliminate the root cause of the issue.

    1. Try to connect the device with a different USB and check if that helps.
    2. Connect the M-track to different computer and check if you still face the issue there, if the issue persists, it could be caused by hardware.

    Method 1:

    1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together, and type
      control printers.
    2. You will see list of all the devices and printers connected to your computer.
    3. Click on Add a device and follow the onscreen instruction and add your device.

    Method 2:

    1. Uninstall
      all the M-Track drivers
      from device manager.
    2. Reboot the computer and check.

    Method 3:

I suggest you login to the manufacturer site,
download the drivers for your registered device
    and
    install it.

If you still face the issue, I suggest you to get in touch with the
manufacturer and get the hardware checked once.

    Hope it helps.

    cortana does weird things

    Hi Joris,

If after installing all updates for Windows 10 does not help in resolving problems in Cortana, there might be an application or service that is conflicting with Cortana to work properly, or that a component within Windows may have been damaged or corrupted.
Can you tell us if there are any third-party applications installed in your computer? If there are, kindly perform a clean boot environment in Windows. Performing a clean boot environment would start the system in a reduced functionality and in a basic state
using the default settings of Windows. This way, we would know if there are software conflicts that are occurring in Windows. While in a clean boot environment, attempt to use Cortana and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, we can determine that there
is a third-party service or application that is causing the issue. You may perform a clean boot environment in Windows by following the steps below:

    • Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
    • From Start, search for msconfig.
    • Select msconfig or System Configuration
      from the search results.
    • Click the Services tab, and then click to select the
      Hide all Microsoft services
      check box.
    • Click to select the upper half of the check boxes in the Service list.
    • Click OK, and then tap or click Restart.
    • After the computer finishes restarting, determine whether the problem still occurs.
      • If the problem still occurs, repeat steps 1 through
        6
, but clear the lower half of the check boxes in the Service
        list that you originally selected.
      • If the problem does not occur, repeat steps 1 through
        6
, and select only the upper half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the
Service list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.
      • If you still experience the problem when only one service is selected in the
Service list, this means that the selected service causes the problem, and you should go to step
        11. If no service causes the problem, go to step 8.
    • Repeat steps 1 and 3 in this section.
    • Click the Startup tab, and then click to select the upper half of the check boxes in the
      Startup Item list.
    • Click OK, and then click Restart.
      • If the problem still occurs, repeat steps 8 and
        9
, but clear the lower half of the checked boxes in the Startup Item list that you originally selected.
      • If the problem does not occur, repeat steps 8 and
        9
, and select only the upper half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the
Startup Item list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.
      • If you still experience the problem after only one Startup Item
is selected in the Startup Item list, this means that the selected
Startup Item causes the problem, and you should go to step
        11
. If no Startup Item causes this problem, a Microsoft service
probably causes the problem. To determine which Microsoft service
may be causing the problem, repeat steps 1 through
        7
without selecting the Hide all Microsoft services check box in each step.
    • After you determine the startup item or the service that causes the problem, contact the program manufacturer to determine whether the problem can be resolved. Or, run the
System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box for the problem item.

If the above troubleshooting steps did not work in resolving the problem, you may attempt to reset your PC using the
    Recovery options in Windows.

We are looking forward to an update from you.
