Windows 10: My computer downloaded a new update but then when I went to log into my admin account it...

it says that the most recent update the one I installed today was Windows 11, version 22H2. I do not have a USB at the moment thus I cannot create a password reset disk.

Unable to install the updates due to unknown admin account on Windows 10 computer

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• How many user accounts are there on your computer?
• Are you using Microsoft account/ local account with admin rights?
• Were you able to local the non-admin account on your computer?

If you are able to log-in to the computer, I suggest you to try the below to check the number of user accounts on your computer.

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
  
• Type netplwiz and click on Ok.
  

Check if you have enabled the Built-in admin account on your computer. If so, try to disable and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to Disable Built-in administrator.

• Press Windows + X key together on your desktop screen.
  
• Click on Command Prompt (admin) to open Command Prompt.
  
• Type the following command and hit Enter:

• net user administrator /active: no (Check for the spaces)
  

Restart the computer and check with the status of this issue.

Can't Log into New Account | Windows 10

This behavior occurs because the account that you use to log on to the computer is a member of one or more of the following groups:

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Step 1: Activate Inbuilt Administrator Account.

Follow the below steps:

• • 
    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt and enter following command.
    
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    

Step 2: Now reboot your system and login to inbuilt admin account and try to add a family account.Once you add the account deactivate inbuilt admin account enter following command in elevated command prompt.

net user Administrator /active:no

Method 2:To fix the user account profile,
Run the Microsoft Account Troubleshooter
