1. I have tried 2 CD drives and get the same problem2. This is an external CD drive3. This happens after 2-3 days with or without new programs and updates.4. The CD drive does not show up on the computer at all and running the device search shows nothing.5. The CD drive is not listed6. The CD drives - different manufacturers - works after resetting the computer to "factory setting" - for a limited amount of time

• Unplug your external CD drive.
• Go to Device Manager > Locate your external CD drive > Right-click and select
  Properties > Look for the
  Driver tab > Select Uninstall Device.
• Restart your device.
• Plug-in your external drive.
• Check if you'll be able to copy your music files.

Step 1:

If it is on the CD's, you may have to copy it the computer first and then copy it the Flash Drive. I suggest you to refer the article to know how to copy music from CD's to computer.

Step 2:

After copying the music to the computer, to move it to the Flash Drive Follow these steps.

• Select the required songs and
  right-click on it.
• Select copy.
