Split from this thread."My Computer" files ----46 of them- got transferred to Office Org Spreadsheet. I cannot print out anything of these files. I was typing a document in WordPad ;hit Save As to Rich Text Document and that's what happened.

transfer files between computers on a home network

I don't know why this is so hard to do but I would like to transfer files between a desktop PC running windows 10 pro and a laptop running windows 10 home. I would like to transfer files in both directions. Both computers are on the same home network and are connected wirelessly.

Could some one provide either specific step by step instructions on how to do this (I googled and found a countless list of instructions that don't work)

or a link to a reference.

I don't know if this is possible but it would be nice to see the computer sending the desired file in the explorer file manager of the computer receiving the desired file and then under the computer see a list
of shared files and folders.

Again, this seems like such a reasonable way of sharing files and folders. Shouldn't there be a simple way to do this?

 

Cannot transfer Pocket Excel Spreadsheets to Excel in Office 2007

I have a HTC Touch Cruise PDA, WM 6.0, with pocket excel spreadsheets that I would like to transfer to Excel in Office 2007 on my laptop. My phone syncs perfectly thru WMDC with my laptop running Windows 7 HP. When connected to WMDC, I can browse to the
spreadsheets on the phone but cannot transfer them to Excel in Office. I have tried drag and drop and manual copy and paste. Can anyone help please?

 

Please help transferring MS Office Outlook 2003 files to Office 2000

My old machine with all my email and contacts has MS Office 2003 pre-loaded on it. I just got a new machine and loaded Office 2000 on it because that are the disks that I have. I can't afford to buy the new Office so I am wondering if it is possible to transfer from 2003 to 2000? Thank you. Frank

I thought I had it figured out when I found this website but when I go through the steps and bring the folder over to the office 2000 machine, it says wrong format. Does anyone have an easier way?
