I have an RTX 3080 with an Intel i7-11700F. It's a prebuilt alienware Aurora R12 with 1tb ssd and 2tb hdd.I have been randomly getting BSOD's 5 in the past 2 days whenever my pc is in an idle state as in im just on google watching a video or searching the internet for stuff. I opened the minidump file it created and it always says that there is an issue with a process called intelpmm.sys, I will include the debug information below.I think its also important to mention that some of the crashes had very similar circumstances. I would get off Horizon Zero Dawn and begin searching or watching

    :)

    Best thermal paste

Most decent thermal paste is about all the same (1-2 degree difference). Without knowing the two listed, (I use MX-2), I would suggest going with the one that is non-conductive.

    Hi,

There are a lot of possible reasons for this matter to occur. One possible cause is your
    drivers
    might be
    outdated
or the issue is within the
    device/hardware
itself. However, we need to make sure that it is the case. To isolate the issue, we have
    some questions for you:

    • Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?

    • Have you tried downloading and installing the latest driver update available in your computer/laptop manufacturer's
      website?

    • Have you tried using the device to another computer?

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We suggest that you perform these
    methods of troubleshooting
and check if there are any changes:

Method 1: Run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

To run the Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    • On the search bar, type
      Troubleshooting
      and hit
      Enter.

    • Choose
      Hardware and Sound.

    • Click on
      Hardware and Devices
      to run the
      Troubleshooter.

    Method 2: Update your drivers.

To know how to update your drivers, click
    here.

    Method 3:
    Run SFC Scan.

    SFC
    will
    scan
    and
    run
    an
    automatic repair
    to any
    corrupted system files
that it will detect. We suggest that you perform it twice. To run an
    SFC scan, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type
      sfc /scannow
      and hit
      Enter.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    Device Vendor manufacturer
    for further assistance.

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.

My computer has been BSOD'ing a lot over the past 2 days. I dont know why...

BSOD became very frequent over the past few days.

Step 1 was a little confusing because I checked from the settings of the computer and scanned for updates and it only told me that I was up to date as well as following instructions from Microsoft web site to find and download more.

Step 3 was easy enough BUT I will point out that a huge problem is that I would get a BSOD every once in a while for something involving a tcpip.sys error that would cause my computer to lose the tcpip protocol and not be able to repair it with even administrative privileges, so I would either giving up on fixing it and wake up the next day to find it working again, or I would reset the computer multiple times until it worked again.

Step 2 im a little bit unsure of how to do because the most recent download for the Windows 64 bit version comes in a .cap extension and I could not find the Winflash tool that ASUS was interfering was needed.
