Task Manager not running


I have added a new task to the ones already populated which I suppose were in Win7
The new task or the present tasks are not running as there is no entry in the history or
recently run file
are there other steps necessary to get the new task manager to start up ?

 

Flickering of some unknown !

• Did this start after installing updates or programs on your computer?
• Do you get any error messages when the window appears?
• Does it come up when opening certain programs?

We suggest you open your Task Manager and check what programs are running when the flickering window comes up. This will help us know what it is and what is causing it on your computer. Here's how you can check the running programs through
Task Manager:

• Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
• Choose Task Manager.
• Click on More details at the bottom of the window to show all running programs.

Flashing screen, computer not going into sleep mode

Hi Denisa,

There may be a number of possible reasons for this type of issue to occur. It could be hardware, or software issues. To isolate this, we suggest that you run the Windows device troubleshooter and see how it turns out. Here are the steps:

• Type Troubleshooter on the Cortana search bar.
• Click View all.
• On the list of troubleshooters, click Hardware and Devices from the list.
• Run the Troubleshooter.

If the issue still persist after the troubleshooter, please take note of any error messages when the steps are finished and let us know. Also, check to see if Task Manager flickers as well.
Open Task Manager by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys on the keyboard at the same time. This will tell us if an app is causing the flicker or not.
If Task Manager does flicker, a display driver is probably causing the problem. Let us know the outcome.
