  1. My computer has been updating every day for some weeks

I dont understand why it doesn't update everything at the same time, also whenever I check for updates it tells me there arent, I wait a couple of hours and there are some updates available. Rn I just downloaded an update for half an hour and it didn't finish downloading when it reached 100%, I gave it literally an hour and still nothing.

Before anyone says it, it's no malware, I've already used Windows Defender full scan a couple of times and nothing, these are all updates executed from Windows's settings.

  2. Computer Crashing Once Per Day

I have an issue that whenever I play a video or start a game, my computer will crash, I see a black screen and then it reboots. It happens once per day. Once it crashes, it wont crash for the rest of the day, even if I
happen to shut down or restart the computer. I shut down the computer every night.

Recently, for the past week, I have been putting the computer to sleep every night instead and I have not crashed once. Even after restarting the computer to install several programs I believed to have been causing the
    issue.

    System Specs:

    • MSI B450I motherboard
    • Nvidia RTX 3070
    • 16GB of RAM DDR4 3600
    • AMD 3600 Processor

    Troubleshooting steps:

    • Cleaned the registry with CCleaner
    • Tested Memory several times, no issues found
    • Ran sfc /scannow, there was no corruption
    • disabled all non essential startup processes and services, all the windows ones are active
    • Updated all my hardware drivers, including video card and system board
    • Ran stress tests of CPU, GPU, and Memory
    • Replaced GTX 970 GPU

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond My computer has been updating every day for some weeks :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

Startup applications automatically depending on day of the week

As mentioned, in Windows 10, Task Scheduler can be used to schedule a program by day of week. If you want to use Task Scheduler to do this and your program doesn't need to start on login the steps would be the following:
However, the OP appears to be asking how to start a program by day of week on login/startup. Task Scheduler can start a program by day of week OR login but does not appear to allow you to specify both.

To do that you can write a simple VBS script called something like "ExecuteByDayOfWeekOnStartup.vbs" and put it in your Startup folder (Win, type shell:startup. This is based on this microsoft technet answer. on determining the day of the week.

    Here's a sample vbs script:

This is easier than the Task Scheduler as it doesn't require going through the wizard for each task and only requires simple editing of one file. It also allows you to easily specify more than one program to start on each weekday. If the program is not in your system PATH then be sure to add the full path name within the quotes.
