    my computer has detected PUA:Win32/Vigua.A and I cant sort it out


    I did a scan of my computer today and and my protection history has flagged this PUA:Win32/Vigua.A I have looked in the folder its supposed to be in and its not their and I've search my entire computer for the folder and it is no where even on my pc.it dose say that this program has potentially unwanted behaviour and that it tried removing it and failed. is their anyone who can help assist me with this.

    Thank you for the screenshot, Defend does not list the app it considers to be a PUA, the best option is to perform an offline scan with Defender, then download the free version of Malwarebytes and run a full scan with that, those scans should remove the PUA from your PC.

    Windows Defender PUA feature?

    Both are false positives, sort of. EICAR is a test file and ytddownloader works, it is just adware/PUA.

    PUA not deleted or quarantined by Windows Defender

    HI, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    A PUA is not actually malware, it is an application on your PC that Defender deems to be possibly unsafe.

    Please provide a screenshot of the history list in Defender showing the PUA's it has found on your PC.
