Windows 10: My computer’ internet connection mode disappeared

After successfully installed Windows 11, version 23H2 on 16/8, then my computer’s internet connection mode disappeared, only Bluetooth, VPN connection, Flight Mode left, but there is no internet connection mode, hence can not connect to internet.

The challenge that you are having with the Internet connection may be related to how the hardware components of your computer are being handled by the drivers that are installed. To start troubleshooting, we suggest that you run Power Troubleshooter as it
can automatically find and fix the issue with your power settings. Simply follow the steps below:

• Press Windows logo to open the search box.
• Type troubleshooting, hit Enter.
• Now click System and Security.
• Click Power.

Since you also mentioned that it happened after the update, it's possible that your drivers remain outdated. We suggest that you update drivers by following the steps on this
link.

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

Internet connection causes computer to loose power.

An outdated network adapter can be one possible reason for this.
To isolate the issue, kindly provide us these details:

• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
• How are you connected to the internet? Is it via Ethernet cable or is it wirelessly connected?
• Have you installed the latest Windows updates?

To help us diagnose the cause of this error, we would suggest that you follow these steps:



Step 1: Boot into safe mode and check if the issue persists

Safe mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services. To boot into safe mode, kindly follow the steps on this link.



Step 2: If issue does not persist in safe mode, we suggest you to place the computer in clean boot and check which third party application driver is causing the issue.

perform a clean boot.



Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in Step 7 in the above KB article.
