    All you can do is to report it to the police, and then also to your network operator (carrier, service provider), and possibly also your insurance company (in case you have specific insurance, or it is covered by some general "home insurance").



    The operator might block the IMEI, if you report it as stolen (they may require proof-of-purchase and a copy of the police report), and they might share the list of blocked IMEIs with other operator's, but there are so many phones in use (billions) and so
    many reported as lost/stolen, that I suspect managing such lists starts to be very impractical (i.e., not done).

    Is tele #888-886-3353 and its infection report legit or a scam. One reverse tele look-up says scam.

    You should report all scams to the local police. They can advise you of the next step to take.
