Windows 10: My computer is forcing an update on me

    My computer is forcing an update on me


    Yesterday I was prompted to do a windows update by my computer, so i installed the update and then after the update all my games were running at 0 fps in comparison to the usual 20 - 30. so i uninstalled the update and evrything was fine again. But today when i tried to restart my computer to try to resolve a wifi issue, it said i have to do the update. so I ran the shutdown -s -t 0

    command to try to shut down without updating but then it started updating anyway! I just used the power button to turn off my computer and then turned it back on and it started updating DURING STARTUP. Why is microsoft forcing an update on me that ruins my computer that I dont want! this is ridiculous. How can i shutdown my computer without updating?

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    6303c - Forcing Firmware Update v10

    Hi All



    I got a 6303 as it's listed on BMW as being 100% compliant with incar bluetooth. Sadly Orange have branded the phone which means that it's stuck on v9.40 and NSU shows no updates as being available.



    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can force a firmware update to v10 and whether it will damage the phone?



    Any suggestion much appreciated.
