Windows 10: My Computer Is Lagging And I Wonder If There Is Anything I Can Delete To Free Up Some Space

My computer has been getting really laggy over time since I took a lot pictures. I have deleted some but I think that isn't the problem that taking this much space. I clear some documents that I don't need but it only freed 60MB. I wonder if there are any apps or features that I can delete to clear up some space. Apps and features that won't mess up my computer. I'm using a WIN 10 Lenovo laptop. Is there any standard apps that I can delete or what can I do too reduce the lag.I would be appreciate if someone could helps me.

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

W10 getting slower/lagging more (wondering if its somthing I've done)

OK, so I am a little confused by the results. Here are some screenshots from you first suggestion, run LatencyMon



I should say that during the time this was running, I did not have any issues, but the first time I ran it I was having the usual problems with System Interrupts hogging th CPU, and the text in green at the top was black and said something to the effect that there were problems with the tcp/ip driver and it was causing problems. The computer locked up enitrely before I had a chance to take a screen shot, and I had to restart.

Next I looked at the Drivers tab...





I see nothing here that woudl suggest there was a problem

However, it was a different story with CrystaInfo...











What I find confusing here is that the figures for Reallocated Sectors Count on the the two "caution" drives, D: and T:, arent a lot differen from this on the B drive, whic is reapoted as healthy

B: 100 : 100 ; 36
D: 100 : 100 : 36
T: 99 :99 : 36

Does this mean I am running out of spare sectors?


PS: I will try running LatencyMon if the issues start up again.

Deleted icons stay on desktop (not in desktop folder)

I can only suggest that you
1 Add a list of steps you have already taken.
2 Add a comment about restarting the computer. Do the deleted icons disappear then?
2 Add a comment explaining if any Desktop items do delete correctly and whether or not there are any significant differences between those that do delete correctly and those that don't.
3 Add a list of any OS tweaks you have done & any third-party OS-related utilities you have run.

I assume you have already reinstalled your display driver.
I don't see a Repair install as being relevant. Repair Install - TenForumsTutorials
