Windows 10: My computer is often hibernating when I leave it to sleep over night

Could you assist me with resolving an issue I've been having with my Dell Inspiron 7306 running Windows 11, where it goes into hibernation when I leave it to sleep over night! I've tried various solutions online but haven't been able to find the "hibernate after" setting under "sleep" in the "change advanced power settings." This only seems to happen when the laptop is unplugged and occurs about 80% of the time. Would you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

shortcut to make the computer sleep/hibernate

I would like a shortcut to make the Win 10 desktop computer sleep/hibernate as I was able to do in XP. No multiple steps, reaching down to press the desktop computer power button or other inconvenient methods. Would like to be able to sleep in the daytime
and hibernate at night (with power off). If I make a Shortcut: rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0; and if the computer is set to allow hibernate, then i have to use the power button down on the computer to start up again instead of any key.

I think you have sleep and hibernate confused... sleep just puts the computer in a low power state, making resuming the session faster... hibernate shuts down the whole computer and basically just saves whats in RAM to the hdd and loads it on next startup. IIRC...

corrupted Power settings or outdated display drivers. In order for us to efficiently assist you with your concern regarding the issue of waking up from sleep/hibernation, we just have a few questions for you:

• Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?
• Did you get any error messages upon waking up your computer from hibernation/sleep?
• Have you also tried performing the power troubleshooter?

If you still haven't, we suggest trying the steps below:

• Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and click on System and Security.
• Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.

Delete the current power plan and create it again.
